David Shawhan

Also written as David "Shawen" (used by his descendants going forward); David "Shawan"; "David Sheon" — per the 1790 Census as read in "The History of Frederick County, Maryland" (T. J. Williams, 1910), which also identifies the "Shawens" as early settlers in Jefferson, near Catoctin

Third child of Daniel Shawhan and Jennett. Remained in Frederick County, Maryland; descendants used "Shawen" as their surname.
