This site is kept by Spencer S Shawhan, author of Two Roads from Munster. It gathers what is known about Darby Shawhan and Sarah Meeks, who married in Kent County, Maryland, in 1707, and about their descendants and the families they married into.
How this site grows
This site grows as the research does. New people are added as they are researched. Documents, places, maps, and open questions are added only after a detailed review of the research, done while writing one of the books — so everything in those sections has been checked for a book. Records from From Shad’s Hole will be added once that book is final.
The research is never finished. Where the records are silent, the site says so, and the Open Questions lay out what is still unknown.
Privacy
To protect living relatives, the site lists only people born before 1900, and leaves out anyone whose birth date isn’t yet known.
